Finbold reports that organizations, brands and celebrities around the world are showing increasing interest in non-volatile tokens (NFTs) and the metaverse as new ways to connect with fans, and British football club Crystal Palace has decided to adopt this practice.
Crystal Palace F.C. filed a trademark application for its crest with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on June 27, according to the licensed metaverse trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis who shared the news with his followers via Twitter on July 1.
As part of its trademark application, the football club has covered NFTs, cryptocurrencies, digital collectibles, virtual footwear, clothing, and sports gear, online NFT and crypto marketplaces and exchanges, NFT-authenticated media, and more.
